How is it priced?

The desktop app is free to download and use, with no subscription. Chatting is powered by the built-in official AI and your Points.

Do I need an API key?

No — official AI is built in. Just sign in and start chatting.

Where is my data stored?

Conversations, reminders, pet data, and long-term memory stay on your machine. Account data is encrypted and stored in Singapore.

Which platforms are supported?

Windows and macOS, with download links above. Linux support is planned.

Does it interrupt my work?

No - during focus time it goes quiet. You control talkativeness, quiet hours, and sit mode.

Which models does PetOS use, and is my data safe?

PetOS connects to carefully selected, reliable models available globally. PetOS does not retain your AI conversation content on its servers; conversations, companion data, and long-term memory stay on your device by default.

Can I use a custom model?

Yes. Anyone can enter their own endpoint, model, and key in Settings, with no sign-in or VIP required. After you save Custom AI, you can turn on strict character mode to shape personality, tone, and how your companion interacts.
